Digging Water: A voyage by north canoe follows the journey of 300 paddlers who retraced David Thompson’s 1808 route from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta to Thunder Bay, Ontario. Beginning on May 10th, 2008, the adventure celebrating the world’s greatest land geographer gained momentum over the next 66 days. This movie portrays an intimate view of Canada’s beautiful and harsh wilderness, rich and diverse culture, and the personal hardships individuals, teams and the brigade had to overcome.
